Rise Again

I awoke this morning still swathed in the arms of the buffalo from a sleep so deep that my eyes opened, it took some moments to adjust to this earth—

Last night, seated in my place in the circle, the breathe that fuels me transformed into a voice that filled the air and to her breast she held the space close and in her heart, she found the home she carries with her everywhere and so she sang and sang until each heart found home, too—

I know she is me and I am her but there is no time to think, just to feel and so it is only now, I call me her instead of me—and I know we are the same—

Joy is a split second in this life; she comes and goes—the only thing to do is move towards her and bask in her brightness and know that she will always rise again.
